Buttermilk built its 60-year legacy on wide-open and gently rolling trails that cater to beginners and families. Drive along the Independence Pass (a must if you’re in the area), which is almost 23 miles away. This scenic 20-mile drive goes between Leadville and Aspen and passes through the Sawatch Mountains and along the Roaring Fork River for dramatic and memorable views.
