THE VILLAS

The island’s five massive 1000-square-foot villas are perfectly positioned to provide privacy and open views of the dazzling Caribbean Sea. Each villa features a breezily chic master bedroom suite furnished with elegant handmade traditional furniture, high bamboo ceilings, and huge spa bathrooms with outdoor showers and large soaking tubs in select villas. One of the master villas also features a family-friendly loft.

Situated only 15 minutes off the coast of Placencia, Belice sits a rare coral island of incomparable beauty, its white sands sloping gently into the Caribbean Sea. Kanu’s 2.5 acres ensures privacy with five 1,000-square-foot villas, each containing a breezily chic master bedroom suite, high bamboo ceilings, huge resort bathrooms with outdoor showers, high end finish out and custom local furniture. Some villas also have large soaking tubs and one has a loft for kids.

At the center of the island is the huge palm thatched central area that contains the living room, dinning room, large bar and kitchen flanked by the large in-ground fresh water swimming pool complete with swim up bar. The soothing design palette incorporates coral stone and amazing rose wood flooring, complemented with accent shades of the sea and sun.

Kanu is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the town of Placencia and within the middle of the island range for added privacy from neighbouring islands and boat traffic. The island is surrounded by turquoise green waters perfect for snorkelling and close to numerous dive sites including an annual visit each year in the Months of March to June of the amazing and elusive Whale Shark.

Transfers within Belize included in the rate

Located in the tropical heart of Central America – – Belice is just a short flight from many U.S. cities. Guests only have to get to Belice city and we take care of the rest. Boat transfers to the island are included in the all inclusive rate and for a limited time we are also including the local flights in the all inclusive rate. Our reservations team will work with you to arrange your short transport from Belize City International Airport to Placencia. When arriving in Placencia, staff will pick you up at the airstrip and take you to the kanu boat to be transported to the island.
