The villa opens to an expansive private lanai where you can while away sunny days on the loungers or in the infinity pool. As the sun sinks into the Pacific, heat up the barbecue for dinner at the al-fresco table, have a soak in the hot tub and spot constellations you’ve never seen before with the telescope. If you prefer more high-tech entertainment, there is also a television and Wi-Fi.

A wall of sliding glass is the only thing separating the lanai from the great room of this luxury residence; opening it creates one large indoor-outdoor living area. A vaulted ceiling and carved paneling add traditional touches to the breezy sitting and dining areas, and there’s no more inviting place to pull up a stool than the breakfast bar in the fully equipped kitchen.

Champion Ridge 24 has two bedrooms with king beds, including the master bedroom, and one bedroom with two twin-over-double bunk beds; all three bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Though there are ceiling fans throughout the villa to keep you comfortable, only the bedrooms have air conditioning.

Guests of Champion Ridge 24 are welcome to use the Mauna Lani Beach Club, 1 mile away, and can make arrangements at extra cost to play on the golf course, or use the tennis courts, all about a 5-minute drive from the villa. Be sure to leave time to explore beyond the resort, whether it’s strolling the white sands of Hapuna Beach or finding a favorite spot to sip locally grown Kona coffee.
